Formed in Los Angeles in 2015, Imaginary Persons create cosmic, groove-driven indie shaped by psychedelic textures, disco rhythms, UFO mythology, and California dreams. Led by singer-songwriter Tommy Alexander, the project released Spacescapes in 2020 and Born in Time in 2021. Both albums were produced by Riley Geare of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and RIO KOSTA, with Born in Time mastered by Dave Cooley, whose credits include Tame Impala, M83, and Spoon.
Now rooted in Joshua Tree, Alexander and longtime bandmate and collaborator Chris Pink are completing Imaginary Persons’ third album, Chateaus and UFOs. Tentatively arriving in October 2026, the record marks a bold new frontier—with singles and music videos descending soon.
